Digital Weight Management Programme

Your surgery, in partnership with Suffolk and North East Essex ICB, is offering access to a new NHS Digital Weight Management Programme, which is designed to help those living with obesity and who also have diabetes, high blood pressure, or both.

If this is you, you could improve your health and wellbeing through this free 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme. It's easily available via a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Improved weight management can have significant health benefits:


  • Improved cardiovascular health - reduced risk of heart attacks, strokes, diabetes which can lower the risk of early death by up to 30%.

  • Weight management - achieve and maintain a health weight while building muscle.

  • Increased energy levels - feel more alert and productive day-to-day.

  • Improved mood - exercise reduces stress, anxiety and depression and boosts self-esteem.

  • Better sleep - activity promotes deeper and more restul sleep.

  • Reduced risk or improved management of chronic diseases - such as type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and some cancers. It can also improve symptoms and reduce the complications of existing health conditions.
